Prawn vermicelli

Prawns are a quick-cooking, versatile seafood, so it’s easy to try out new recipes using them. Prawns are a favourite amongst many, I am no exception 😄. It makes the whole dish flavorful and delicious be it rice , pasta , noodles or curries.

If you are bored of the regular rice recipes , try this quick and tasty Prawn vermicelli. This is something very simple yet festive.

Cooking Time : 20 mins


INGREDIENTS:

Vermicelli – 1pkt

Oil -4 tbs

Prawns-500gms cleaned Onion –3 big finely chopped Tomato – 3 chopped roughly

Capsicum- 1 big

Green chilly-3 finely chopped Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp

Yogurt-1/2 cup Mint Leaves Coriander leaves

Red Chilli powder – 1 tsp Garam masala pwd – 1 tsp

Turmeric pwd- 1 tsp Water as required Salt – to taste

Spring onions for garnishing


METHOD:

1.Roast vermicelli with a tbs of oil and cook as per the instructions printed on the packet.

2.Heat oil in a pan at medium heat. Add onion, little salt and saute until transparent. Add ginger, garlic, green chilies . Saute until onion turns light golden. 3.Add turmeric powder, chilly powder and garam masala powder. Saute for 30 seconds and add chopped tomatoes. Cook until tomatoes turn soft. 4.Add yogurt and mix well.Add cleaned prawns, capsicum and salt. Now sprinkle the coriander leaves and mint leaves.

5. Next add cooked vermicelli on top of the prawn masala and steam cook it for 15mins with the tightly sealed lid(dum).

6.After 15mins open the lid and toss the masala with vermicelli. Garnish with spring onions and serve hot.😋. Give a thumbs up if you like the recipe👍.
